Static Trapeze
I am getting very excited for February because I'll probably be starting my first trapeze class!! I'm looking for any helpful tips, suggestions, or advice.
If anyone is in Chicago and wants to try the trapeze, there is an hour and a half beginner trapeze workshop held at Aloft Loft (http://aloftloft.com) every first Saturday of the month (but RSVP early!). I went to one with a friend just for fun and I was totally hooked.
I'm not afraid of heights, but I tend to panic when I feel like I'm falling backwards. So it was a bit of a challenge for some things, but definitely something I could see myself getting used to. We learned basics like plank pose, sitting on the bar, getting up/down, standing on the bar, The Mermaid and The Reverse Angel. Forgive me if I got those names wrong, but that's just going off my poor memory. It was tons of fun!
I've been hoping to build some of my upper body strength ever since, so if you have a good tip that isn't just doing push-ups, fill me in!![Smile](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif)
