Beats Antique

This band is, I believe, a partial spawn from another band called Yard Dogs Road Show (who are also awesome, you should check them out!)

But Beats Antique is all instrumental stuff and they work with Zoe Jakes who is an AMAZING belly dancer...she was on the tour with Yard Dogs Road Show and then discovered by the Bellydance Superstars.

Not heard anything like Beats antique before! Think I shall investigate further!

Yard Dogs Road Show - Myspace only had two songs working and I wasn't that keen on Blockhead but Red Light is quite fab

The Yard Dogs have some very eclectic music. They have a few different singers too...one of my favorite songs of theirs is actually a song of one of the singers I believe (her name is Sheah Askins) -

The song is called Bokonon. It lulls me into a trance...

But as you can see they do a lot of theatrics and tricks and stuff on stage. They have the Black and Blue Burlesque Review on stage with them, and Zoe Jakes as I mentioned. One of their percussionists is also a sword swallower. It's a whole party!
